#Brooklyn girl dies after relative flips SUV in police chase

An 11-year-old Brooklyn girl died after her relative flipped his SUV while speeding away from police, State Police said Thursday.

The fatal crash unfolded just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday after state troopers tried to stop 39-year-old Tristan Goods on I-87 in Ulster for a traffic violation, police said.

Goods, though, took off in his 2017 Dodge Journey, cops said.

During the chase, Goods crashed into a State Police cruiser, lost control and flipped the SUV near mile marker 93.6, according to cops.

The 11-year-old passenger, Monica Goods, who was not wearing her seatbelt, died in the crash, police said.

Tristan Goods, of Hollis, was taken to Kingston Hospital before being moved to Westchester Medical Center for serious injuries, cops said. He is expected to survive.

Police did not say how the two were related.
