#Bronx suspect arrested after exchanging fire with police

NYPD cops exchanged fire with a man in the Bronx on Thursday night, the second time in less than three hours police shot at armed suspects in the borough, police sources said.

Nobody was struck in the latest encounter at about 11:45 p.m. near East 156th street and Hewitt Place in Longwood, sources said.

After being shot at by the suspect, cops returned fire and later caught up to and arrested the man, according to sources.

A firearm was recovered at the scene, sources said.

Earlier in the night, police fired at a man who pointed his gun toward them behind a building on East 219th Street near Laconia Avenue in Williamsbridge.

That suspect, who was not struck, then dropped the gun and fled inside a bodega on 216th street, where cops caught up to him and tased him.
