#Brittany Howard Wins Best Rock Song at 2021 Grammys

Brittany Howard won the award for Best Rock Song at the 2021 Grammy Awards today (March 14). “Stay High,” from 2019’s Jaime, won over Fiona Apple’s “Shameika,” Tame Impala’s “Lost in Yesterday,” Phoebe Bridgers’ “Kyoto,” and Big Thief’s “Not.”

“Stay High” was also nominated for a Best Rock Performance Grammy, with Jaime earning a nomination for Best Alternative Music Album, too. Two more tracks from Jaime were nominated in other categories: “Goat Head” for Best R&B Performance, and “Short and Sweet” for Best American Roots Performance. Jaime is the first solo album from Howard, who’s previously won Grammys for her work with Alabama Shakes.
