Brian Winters is staying in the AFC East.

The former Jets guard signed a one-year deal with the Bills on Monday, according to multiple reports. Winters had been a starting guard for New York since 2013, but was released by the team on Sunday.

A third-round pick in the 2013 NFL draft, Winters started 79 of 89 games with the Jets. However, he has seen injuries end his season prematurely in three of the last four seasons. The 29-year-old played nine games last year before a shoulder injury derailed his season.

Jets general manager Joe Douglas previously told reporters that Winters would be allowed to compete for his starting job with Greg Van Roten, who arrived with the Jets on a three-year deal this offseason. Now, he moves to their divisional rival.

Jon Feliciano, who started all 16 games last year at guard for the Bills, will miss significant time after undergoing surgery on a torn pectoral Friday. Winters gives the team an experienced starter.
