Boosie Badazz is kicking off the new year by advising his fans about drug use and the rise in deaths due to fentanyl.

The Louisiana native hopped on Twitter on Sunday (January 1) to denounce the use of fentanyl in honor of all the people that have lost their lives to the drug. According to Boosie, if drug addicts need their fix, they should go back to crack, which he thinks is a better alternative.

“Ay, check this out, it’s too many people dying in 2022 fucking with fentanyl,” Boosie said. “If you go be an addict you might need to go back to crack. Crackheads live longer than anybody, you still see them around.

He added: “That fentanyl shit is way stronger. If you can’t shake it, go back to crack. You go be funnier [and] you go live longer. Food for thought.”

Boosie’s advice may not sit well with some, given the number of deaths as a result of using crack cocaine.  Nevertheless, the 40-year-old isn’t one to shy away from sharing his thoughts, as he showed with all the YSL members copping plea deals in light of the collective’s ongoing RICO case.

After a seventh and eighth YSL affiliate reached a plea deal to secure their release from jail, Boosie took it upon himself to comment on what’s going on and made it loud and clear he’s not a fan of what’s been happening.

“STRAIGHT BITCH,” Boosie wrote alongside a screenshot of Trontavious “Slug” Stephens in court. “N-GGAS LIKE THAT GO DIE N CAR WRECK R SOMETHING.”

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Antonio Sledge was granted 15 years probation this week after pleading guilty to conspiracy to violate the RICO Act and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Sledge, who goes by Mounk Tounk, agreed to testify at next month’s trial if asked to do so, but was given the option to invoke his Fifth Amendment rights.

Then on Thursday (December 29), Law & Crime Network’s Cathy Russon reported that Stephens, who also goes by “Tick,” appeared in court to plead guilty to racketeering. He was sentenced to 10 years behind bars, but was credited with two years for time served, with the remaining eight converted to probation, resulting in his imminent release from prison.

Stephens agreed to testify at trial and won’t be able to invoke his Fifth Amendment rights on the stand. He admitted he was a founding member of YSL (Young Slime Life) and that it was a gang, as well as recognized a pair of arrests with one involving the robbery of a woman.
