#Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Nathan Salsburg, and Max Porter Release New EP: Listen

Bonnie “Prince” Billy and guitarist Nathan Salsburg have released a new EP for Bandcamp Friday titled Three Feral Pieces. Max Porter wrote the lyrics for each song, and Joan Shelley plays Wurlitzer organ on the recordings. Listen to Three Feral Pieces in full below.

With fewer than 1,000 copies available, the physical edition of Three Feral Pieces features all three songs on one side of a 12″ record with an earthy etching covering the B-side. The EP is the latest collaborative project from Bonnie “Prince” Billy’s Will Oldham, who’s released a glut of cover songs with Bill Callahan, in addition to reviving his duo with Matt Sweeney for the forthcoming album Superwolves. Oldham and Porter released It’s Going to Be a Bright New Day: Would You Rather, with Bonnie Prince Billy last year.

Last spring, Shelley and Salsburg shared “Bed in the River,” a new recording with lyrics written by Porter. Salsburg has more recently released the solo works Landwerk and Landwerk No. 2. Porter’s latest book, The Death of Francis Bacon, arrived in January.
