The upcoming golfing anime BIRDIE WING -Golf Girls’ Story- revealed additional cast members ahead of its April premiere. Singer-songwriter Tsukuyomi will also be performing the anime’s main ending theme “Yodaka.”
Among the new cast members include Toa Yukinari as Rose Aleon, Saki Fujita as Ichina Saotome, Mai Nakahara as Kinue Jinguji, Yukari Tamura as Mizuho Himekawa, Yuu Kobayashi as Kaede Oikawa, M.A.O as Kaoruko Iijima, Satomi Arai as Kuyou Iseshiba, Koari Nazuka as Vipere, and Rina Satou as Haruka Misono.
It was previously announced that Kohmi Hirose will perform the anime’s opening theme “Venus Line.” A new key visual was also released last month to promote the series’ upcoming premiere.
BIRDIE WING -Golf Girls’ Story- is an original anime production between VIVEPORT — HTC’s virtual reality (VR) content platform — and Bandai Namco Pictures. BANDAI NAMCO Studios are credited with the anime’s original character designs. BN Pictures will handle the series’ animation production.
Takayuki Inagaki (First Love Monster) is directing the anime and Yousuke Kuroda (My Hero Academia) is handling screenwriting. Koutarou Nakagawa (Major 2nd) and Hironori Anazawa (SCARLET NEXUS) are the anime’s music composers.
Other production staff for the anime include Kei Ajiki (Yotsuiro Biyori) as lead character designer and Shin Misawa (Gingitsune) as golf course and concept designer. Minoru Akiba (Rent-A-Girlfriend) and Shin Maeda serve as art directors for the series while Tomoe Takaya (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma‑kun Season 2) is the color designer. Koujirou Hayashi (Tawawa on Monday Season 2) is the photography director.
BIRDIE WING follows two golfers in a country called Nafres. Eve is a gifted golf prodigy known as the “Rainbow-colored Bullet,” who participates in betting to make a living. Aoi is an elite golfer with a passionate burn for the game and is known as the “Innocent Tyrant.” The two women come from different worlds, but find themselves drawn together after a fateful meeting.
