#Biden’s sneaky way to raise the minimum wage without changing the law

This is a riddle that the Biden administration has solved with a set of economic policies that specialize in perverse incentives to crush small business. Chief among these policies is continuing unemployment aid to millions of Americans while job openings go unfilled.

Once again this week the jobs numbers underperformed, missing projections by 100,000. This is starting to be a habit for Biden. Increasingly Build Back Better looks more like sit on the couch and watch the checks roll in. Republicans in congress and in state houses across the country understand that we must stop paying people not to work.

Democrats have another idea. And you will be shocked to learn it involves even more government spending. Biden’s party seeks to expand tax credits for businesses so they can hire more. Just so we all understand this, after providing people with so much income that they don’t want to work, Democrats want to spend more money to inflate wages in order to lure them back into jobs.

One of the few times that the Biden administration has disappointed its loony left wing came earlier this year when he surrendered on a $15-an-hour federal minimum wage. But we now see that they found a backdoor way to get what they wanted. But the American people will ultimately pay the bill.

As the Biden money machine goes whirr it is small business that is left holding the bag. Big corporations such as Amazon and Target are fine with hiking the minimum wage. It’s the smaller companies that get hit. These policy driven wage hikes are a gift to mega corporations that fill Democratic coffers. And the more Mom & Pop stores that go under, the more corporate heavyweights come to dominate our economy and lives.

It has long been clear that Democrats had no desire to return to normal after the pandemic and lockdowns. To them this has been a chance to fundamentally transform America and they haven’t been shy about saying so. This is a crisis that they are not letting go to waste.

As the case rates drop and the masks are shed small businesses should be returning to the same economic landscape they had pre-pandemic. Instead Biden is bowing to progressives and big tech oligarchs with his effort to manipulate wages without passing an actual law.
