#Beyond Journey’s End Trailers Preview Mages Kanne and Lawine

Two character trailers have been released for Frieren: Beyond Journey, which kicks off its second cour this week. The videos shine the spotlight on the Third Class mages Kanne (Azumi Waki) and Lawine (Sayumi Suzushiro), who are among the numerous new faces that will debut in the “First Class Mage Exam Arc.”

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End‘s first cour premiered on September 29 with its first four episodes. Crunchyroll, Muse Asia, and Bilibili stream the show. The fantasy anime is an adaptation of the Shogakukan-published manga written by Kanehito Yamada and drawn by Tsukasa Abe, which was the grand prize winner of Manga Taisho 2021.

Decades after their victory, the funeral of one her friends confronts Frieren with her own near immortality. Frieren sets out to fulfill the last wishes of her comrades and finds herself beginning a new adventure…

The Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End manga began serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 2020 and has 12 tankoubon volumes published under the Shonen Sunday Comics label as of December 2023.
