#Best TV and Movies Coming to Netflix in May 2021 – /Film

April is ending soon, and with that we have our usual group of TV shows and movies arriving on Netflix, including a few surprise seasons of a critically acclaimed comedy. Check out the incredibly packed group of  TV shows and movies coming to Netflix in May 2021.

Master of None

It’s been four years since Master of None aired its second season, but Netflix confirmed that not only is a third season of Aziz Ansari’s Emmy-winning comedy series its way, it’s coming to the streaming platform in May. Th third season will only be comprised of five episodes and will be titled Master of None Presents: Moments in Love. Aziz Ansari directed all of the episodes, and he also co-wrote them with series co-star Lena Waithe. Apparently Waithe’s character Denise will take the spotlight this season, per reports.

Back to the Future

It looks like we didn’t need a time-traveling Delorean to get Back to the Future back on Netflix. Just three months after the film left the platform in December, it’s back, with its clockwork-like time travel story. Revist this sci-fi comedy classic, as Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) accidentally goes back in time, interrupts his parents’ budding romance, and invents rock and roll.

Notting Hill

Hugh Grant is at his floppy-haired, bumbling best in Notting Hill, while Julia Roberts’ mega-watt smile has never shined brighter as the celebrity actress that Grant’s humble bookstore owner falls in love with in this Richard Curtis classic, directed by Roger Michell. Not convinced to watch a sappy rom-com? Be persuaded by Barry Jenkins’ live-tweet of the movie, in which he colorfully gushes about how Roberts is “a lamp you find in some antique shop in Novia Scotia.”

Scarface

Come for Al Pacino screaming and snorting a lot of cocaine in Scarface, Brian De Palma’s gangster classic about the violent rein of Miami drug lord Tony Montana. But stay for a slinky Michelle Pfeiffer, that white gold.

The Woman in the Window

The Amy Adams-starring psychological thriller The Woman in the Window finally gets its long-delayed release. Based on the 2018 novel of the same name by pseudonymous author A. J. Finn, The Woman in the Window is a Hitchcockian-inspired thriller starring Adams as an agoraphobe who suspects foul play in the family across the street.
