Charli XCX has shared “Speed Drive,” which will feature on Barbie the Album, the soundtrack to the forthcoming movie starring Margot Robbie. The Easyfun-produced track finds Charli return to a regular lyrical motif of hers: cars and the possibility of escape they provide. Check it out below.
Barbie the Album will be released on July 21, the same day the Greta Gerwig-directed movie hits theaters. The album is executive produced by Mark Ronson and features previously released contributions from Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice (“Barbie Girl”), PinkPantheress (“Angel”) and Dua Lipa (“Dance the Night”). The album will also feature new music from HAIM, Lizzo, Tame Impala, and Ryan Gosling a.k.a. Ken.
