#BEASTARS Season 2 Announced for January 5 on Netflix Japan

The Fuji TV Anime Lineup Unveiling 2020 event announced the second season for BEASTARS with a new promotional video. The series will premiere on January 5, 2021 via Netflix Japan and January 7, 2021 on Fuji TV’s (+Ultra). The Japanese duo YOASOBI will perform the opening theme song to BEASTARS Season 2.

Originally based on the manga series written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki, the show began broadcasting in Japan on Fuji TV (+Ultra) in October 2019. BEASTARS was then released globally via Netflix in March 2020.

Viz Media describes the show as:

At a high school where the students are literally divided into predators and prey, it’s personal relationships that maintain the fragile peace. Who among them is a Beastar—an academic and social role model destined to become a leader in a society naturally rife with mistrust?
