New Yorkers will soon be able to get their grill on.

Public barbecue areas in Big Apple parks will reopen for the Fourth of July weekend, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Monday.

“We’re going to be open up the barbecue areas in our parks for this coming weekend — for the July 4th weekend, so folks can enjoy barbecuing,” de Blasio said during his daily City Hall press briefing.

Hizzoner added, “I want everyone to remember to be safe, still practice appropriate social distancing, still wear the face coverings.”

“It’s time for barbecuing to come back in our parks and they will be opened in the coming days,” he said.

De Blasio said the city is on the track to enter Phase Three of the state’s four-phase coronavirus reopening plan on July 6, but said indoor dining — which would be permitted in the third stage — is “now in question” given COVID-19 outbreaks across the country.
