Battle Grounds Ultimate Releases Launch Trailer

Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate, the 2D side-scrolling action game by publisher and developer Rocket Panda Games, has received a launch trailer to celebrate its April 17 launch on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC through Steam and the Epic Game Store.

The trailer showcases the game’s various modes and features, including the six-player co-op mode, the eight-player Battle mode, and 38 playable characters. It also features the main theme song, “Move,” covered by the Phantom Breakers ft. Shogun on vocals. The song was originally performed by I Fight Dragons, who also wrote and composed it.

Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate is a spin-off from the original Phantom Breaker series, developed by 5pb and MAGES in 2011 and a remake of the now-delisted Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds that was originally released for the Xbox 360 in 2013. Rocket Panda acquired the IP in 2022.

The game was previously announced in September 2023. It was scheduled to launch in 2024, but was delisted from online stores in March 2024. In June 2024, the game was open for pre-orders and was previously slated to launch in February 2025.

The game is available digitally and physically through select retailers worldwide. There will be a standard and an Ultimate Edition. The Ultimate Edition will include an exclusive Mikoto figurine, a soundtrack CD, an artbook, and a limited-edition box. Rocket Panda notes that the Ultimate Edition is only available for the U.S.
