#Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club TV Anime Gets 2nd Season in 2022

During the Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club 3rd Live! School Idol Festival～The beginning of the dream～ live-streamed concert tonight, it was announced that the girls from Nijigasaki will continue singing in the TV anime 2nd season in 2022. No more information on Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club season 2 was revealed during the show besides a teaser visual (above).

The first season of Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club aired from October 3, 2020, to December 26, 2020, and was streamed in North America and Australia by Funimation and AnimeLab, with Crunchyroll streaming the series in the UK. Crunchyroll describes the series as such:

Nijigasaki High School is known for their diverse subjects and the freedom they give to students. Second-year student Yu Takasaki has been turned on to the charms of school idols, so she knocks on the door of the School Idol Club with her friend, Ayumu Uehara. Sometimes friends, sometimes rivals, the members of this club each contribute their own thoughts and motivations to the group.

Though fans of the Love Live! franchise won’t have to wait long for another TV anime, as Love Live! Superstar!!, the next generation of idols, begins on NHK-E in Japan in July 2021.
