They laughed at you for spending hours every night practicing the bassline for “Seven Nation Army” by the White Stripes. But those evenings spent sharpening your blade are finally going to pay off: bar italia, the buzzy indie three-piece from the U.K., are looking for a bassist.
The band put out the call on Wednesday (January 8) on social media. The message reads: “looking for a bassist! please email here. thank you.” Interested applicants can reach out to [email protected]. Hopefully whoever gets the position also gets to keep the email address.
It’s unclear whether the selected bassist will simply be a touring member of the band, a full-time member with Nina Cristante, Sam Fenton, and Jezmi Tarik Fehmi or work with them in some other capacity. The trio shared two projects on Dean Blunt’s World Music (2020’s Quarrel and 2021’s Bedhead) before moving to Matador for a pair of 2023 LPs: Tracey Denim and The Twits.
