#Bandcamp Launches New Livestreaming Service for Artists

Bandcamp has announced a new livestreaming feature, Bandcamp Live, which will allow artists to set up ticketed livestream performances. The online shows will be integrated within the Bandcamp ecosystem, with a virtual “merch table,” real-time chat, and the ability to promote the show to pre-existing Bandcamp fans. In keeping with Bandcamp’s longstanding Fair Trade Music Policy, 80-85% of ticket sales will go directly to the artist. The company has also announced it will waive its fees on tickets until March 31, 2021, meaning 100% of ticket sales will go to artists until then.

Artists who have already confirmed shows on Bandcamp Live include Cloud Nothings, Liv.e, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Madison McFerrin, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Hatchie, and Pedro the Lion.
