#Bachelor (Jay Som and Palehound) Announce Doomin’ Sun Fest

Bachelor—the musical project from Jay Som’s Melina Duterte and Palehound’s Ellen Kempner—have announced Doomin’ Sun Fest, a one-day livestream festival and telethon to benefit Seeding Sovereignty. The lineup includes Tegan & Sara, Tune-Yards, Vagabon, Soccery Mommy, Lucy Dacus, Courtney Barnett, Benjamin Gibbard, Adrianne Lenker, Jeff Tweedy, Faye Webster, Japanese Breakfast, Julien Baker, and more. Doomin’ Sun Fest will take place June 10 starting at 6 p.m. Eastern, followed by a virtual afterparty inside the game Hotel Hideaway. The fest will showcase the first ever Bachelor concert. The livestream will be free to attend, while donations to Seeding Sovereignty will be encouraged.

According to a press release, the event is a chance for “Community, Compassion, Climate, and Celebration.” “Basically we just wanna have fun celebrating our album release, raise funds for Seeding Sovereignty, and get people excited about donating and opening their hearts to themes of the fest,” Bachelor said. “The ‘4 C’s’ as we call them—that are driving this endeavor.”
