Hulu’s July 2022 TV releases didn’t disappoint, from the final season of Killing Eve to kicking off a spooky season a few months early with American Horror Stories season 2. August 2022 will be just as busy for the streaming platform, starting on the fifth of the month, to pair with the dozens of movies that will be available to stream as well. Prey, the highly anticipated spinoff to the horror classic Predator, will most likely steal the month’s spotlight. Yet, there are plenty of new Hulu original series to be excited about. From reality television to limited docuseries, here are the best TV series coming to Hulu in August 2022.

Reservation Dogs (Season 2) — August 3

Reservation Dogs is an FX on Hulu series about a group of Indigenous teenagers in Oklahoma who do various acts of crime as a source of income. Their main goal is get out of Oklahoma and to venture to California to live out their dreams. The series was released in 2021 and will be heading into their second season, which will consist of four episodes in total. The first two episodes will be released on August 3, with the last two premiering on the 10th and 17th of the month. Season two, episode one is titled “The Curse” and will hopefully shed light onto the events that followed after the tornado in the season one finale.

Password (Series Premiere) — August 10

Password was an iconic game show that first aired in 1961, and was hosted by Allen Ludden. The show was revived by NBC in 1979, 1984, and then again in 2008. The show ranked number eight on TV Guide‘s list of the 60 greatest game shows ever made. Password will be revived once again, and will be available to stream on Hulu starting August 10 with Keke Palmer as the host. The structure of the show will be the same as the previous versions: two teams will be paired with a celebrity guest and will need to convey mystery words to one another to win a prize. The first episode of the 2022 revival will be extra special, as the late Betty White will be the first celebrity guest.

This Fool (Season 1) — August 12

Little has been revealed about the new series that is coming to Hulu on August 12 called This Fool, but images surfaced online of a pink van with a cupcake on it that says “Hugs not thugs.” Chris Estrada will be playing Julio Lopez, a self-proclaimed people pleaser who struggles to ever do anything for himself. The IMDB trailer for This Fool shows Julio explaining that “Hugs not thugs” is a rehabilitation center for ex-gangsters that helps them get acclimated to life outside of crime.

Hotties (Season 1) — August 16

In the wake of the blind dating reality series phenomenon, Hulu will be releasing all ten episodes of their new series Hotties on August 16. The show will be hosted by Jada Catta-Preta, mostly known hosting The Soup on E! News. Two strangers will be paired with one another as if they were going on a blind date, but the catch is that they will be doing the cooking — in the middle of the desert heat. The couples will have to cook together in food trucks and attempt to win a cash prize, and a potential date.

Little Demon (Season 1) — August 26

Little Demon, an animated horror-comedy about a woman who was impregnated by Satan, is set to premiere on August 26 on Hulu, and will feature familiar voices of Aubrey Plaza, Danny DeVito, and Lucy DeVito. Laura (Plaza) attempts to live a normal life, but when her daughter Chrissy (Lucy DeVito) comes into her demonic powers, the two are faces with enough problems to fill the underworld. DeVito will voice Satan, Chrissy’s father, and will be in a constant custody battle with Laura for the possession of his daughter’s soul.
