“#Astra Lost in Space Director’s New Anime Set For October Release, Gets First PV and New Visual”
Upcoming original anime Gyakuten Sekai no Denchi Shōjo (The Reverse World’s Battery Girl) has received a new trailer, visual, and an October release window.
The premise sees Japan being invaded by an alternate version of the country from another world. This alternate Japan, which has continued the Showa era and is still a militant nation, uses gas and giant humanoid weapons to defeat its normal world counterpart.
Japan becomes a vassal state of its alternate world counterpart after its defeat, and after 10 years, anime, manga, idol, and other similar subcultures seem to have died out as a result of strict censorship. However, a group called Arahabaki battles to preserve these subcultures using weapons called Galandor, which are powered by girls dubbed “Battery Girls.”

The staff includes Masaomi Andō (Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun,Astra Lost in Space) as director, Maokoto Uezu (Drifting Dragons) as series composer, Akio Watanabe (22/7) as character draft designer, and Keiko Kurosawa (Astra Lost in Space) as character designer. Lerche is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the staff includes Seiichirō Yamashita as Hosomichi Kudo, Ai Fairouz as Rin Akagi, Aina Suzuki as Yuki Aoba, and Shiori Izawa as Misa Kuroki.
The anime was first announced in April with a visual. The anime’s logo is accompanied by the words “Rumble Garanndoll”, but it is unknown if they serve as the English title of the anime or as a subtitle.
