#Assassins Clash in Sakamoto Days’ Main Trailer

The Sakamoto Days anime adaptation has received a main trailer, which previews lots of assassin battles and the Vaundy opening song “Hashire SAKAMOTO.”

The action-comedy has also gotten a key visual, a January 11, 2025 JST premiere date, and the reveal of its split double-cour nature. Cour 2 will premiere in July 2025. 

Sakamoto Days is based on the manga by Yuto Suzuki, which began in 2020 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump and has 19 tankoubon volumes as of November 2024. Viz Media describes the premise as:

Time has passed peacefully for Sakamoto since he left the underworld. He’s running a neighborhood store with his lovely wife and child and has gotten a bit…out of shape. But one day a figure from his past pays him a visit with an offer he can’t refuse: return to the assassin world or die!

The anime will be streamed on Netflix worldwide with a weekly release schedule.
