The intro song is not from Disney+, but from the old German DBGT special release «Son Goku Jr.» from 2003. (Three years before the series began on RTL2.)

The fact that RTLZwei wants to show “Dragon Ball”, “Sailor Moon” and “Mila Superstar” again was not an April Fool’s joke!

Since the German TV stations have continued to show interest in the series “Dragon Ball”, “Z (Kai)” and “Super” in recent years (we reported yesterday on the new RTL2 broadcast), now Disney+ «Dragon Ball GT» caught. Even if “DBGT” gets little attention among hardcore fans, it was extremely successful when it was first broadcast on RTL II. The streaming platform is now giving the neglected series a new coat of paint. Unfortunately, “DBGT” was only shown by RTL II in a censored, short cut version, which is why 13 episodes are missing in German. Disney+ will correct this by providing the 64-part series with a re-synchro is presented.

For the new synchro, Disney+ also produced a re-lyriced intro song. Instead of the well-known “Sorae” the intro was changed to “Hand in Hand”. If you want to listen to the new intro, you can do so in the linked video. Who will be the voices of the characters is not yet known, but the dubbing studio is. The German Dubbing Company in Berlin (“Digimon Fusion”) is now back in the dubbing business for this series. On the streaming platform, the new Disney+ version from April 31, 2023 published.

The Japanese anime series Dragonball GT is the sequel to Dragonball Z, which in turn was a sequel to the original Dragonball series. It’s about the adventures of the warrior Son-Goku, who, however, is turned back into a child right at the beginning of the series by his adversary Prince Pilaf with the help of the seven Dragonballs. The Dragonballs then spread throughout the universe. But only if Son Goku finds them all in time will he have a chance to get his old body back while also preventing the destruction of the world. In the first half of the series, Goku is joined by his friends Pan and Trunks, while the second half sees a reunion with most of the other main characters from the previous series.
