#The Final Season Gets Intense New Key Visual Ahead of Dec 7 Premiere

An intense new key visual for the upcoming Attack on Titan: The Final Season has been uploaded on the anime’s official website. It depicts protagonist Eren Yeager and the Scouts facing off against the Beast Titan and several other Titans, both new and familiar. The anime is set to premiere on December 7.

The key visual also features two other new characters, including a child soldier in the Marleyan military who was previously shown in the anime’s trailer. The previous key visual was dedicated to the main characters from the Scout Regiment and their new looks.

MAPPA is in charge of the animation production for Attack on Titan: The Final Season, taking over from the previous seasons’ Wit Studio. The staff includes Jun Shishido (Death Parade) as chief director, Yuichiro Hayashi (Dorohedoro, Kakegurui) as director, Hiroshi Seko (Mob Psycho 100) as series composer, Hiroyuki Sawano (Kingdom Season 3, Attack on Titan series) and Kohta Yamamoto (Kingdom Season 3) as music composers, Tomohiro Kishi (DorohedoroMy Little Monster) as character designer, and Kazuo Ogura (Zombieland Saga) as art director.

A synopsis for Attack on Titan: The Final Season has not been provided, although the website indicates that the first episode will focus on the aforementioned child soldier and the ongoing war that they’re participating in. The new looks for its returning characters also suggest a time-skip.

Netflix Philippines describes the series as:

For the past 100 years, humanity has lived within giant walls to protect itself from the Titans, giant lumbering beasts with a taste for human flesh. When the Titans suddenly smash through the wall, it forever changes the destinies of Eren, Mikasa and Armin, three childhood friends who sign up to try to defeat the Titans once and for all.
