#AnimeJapan 2021 Moves Completely Online Due to COVID-19

AnimeJapan 2021

After previously announcing that the event would go ahead at Tokyo Big Sight in March, the organizing committee behind AnimeJapan revealed today that the 2021 event would be online only. In a post on the website for the event, the committee says that after "examining the health and safety of all visitors and related parties while looking at the current situation with COVID-19 and the state of emergency issued by the government" "we have decided to cancel the event and make it 'online only'."

Furthermore, it was announced that Japanese artist Takanori Nishikawa, also known as T.M.Revolution, will be the ambassador for AnimeJapan 2021, and will be participating in an online presentation on February 18 at 7:30 PM with voice actors Ryota Suzuki (Yu Ishigami in KAGUYA-SAMA: LOVE IS WAR) and Mayu Mineda (Hazuki Yuiga in We Never Learn: BOKUBEN) to talk about the upcoming event and its "charm."
