“Another Horizon Visual Novel Gets 1st Trailer”
The Summer Time Rendering: Another Horizon visual novel by MAGES has received its first trailer. The game is set to launch on January 26 for NIntendo Switch and PS4 in Japan.
The trailer for the “time-leap adventure game” introduces the six original routes that will be featured in the game. The routes will center around Ushio Kofune, Mio Kofune, Hizuru Minakata, Tokiko Hishigata, Tetsu Totsumura, and a new idol character named Kaori Koyuba (voiced by Yui Ogura), who was designed by the Summer Time Rendering manga’s Yasuki Tanaka.
The video also goes over the perks that are included in the limited edition of the game, including an official strategy guide and a soundtrack CD.
The game’s website says that the six routes are supervised by the editorial department, and that the limited edition will come in an illustrated box.
Aside from the six original routes, Summer Time Rendering: Another Horizon will feature a retelling of the anime’s main story and an original ending. It also includes mechanics like “TIPS branching” and “Action branching,” as well as many graphics from the anime. The game’s opening theme song is “Touka” by Asaka.
The standard edition of Summer Time Rendering: Another Horizon will cost 8,580 yen (~US57.55, tax-included), while the limited and download editions will cost 11,880 yen (~US79.68, tax-included) and 7,700 yen (~US51.64, tax-included) respectively.
Those who pre-order Summer Time Rendering: Another Horizon by November 15 at the relevant stores will receive a random shikishi featuring an illustration of either Ushio, Mio, Shadow Mio, Hizuru, or Kaori. Additionally, they will receive an application ticket that gives them a chance of winning a shikishi signed by the cast.
The Shueisha-published Summer Time Rendering manga ran from 2017 to 2021 with 13 tankoubon volumes. The two-cour anime adaptation produced by OLM ran from April to September 2022.

Upon hearing of Ushio’s death, Shinpei returns to his hometown of Wakayama City on Hitogashima and reunites with his childhood friend’s family. The funeral goes smoothly, but under the surface something strange is brewing on the island. What mysteries await him on this secluded summer island?
