#AnimEigo Releases Megazone 23 Blu-Ray Disc on November 12
AnimEigo has announced the upcoming home media Blu-ray release of the Megazone 23 OVA series on November 12, 2024.
The new release from AnimEigo compiles the complete trilogy, along with an array of bonus features that includes ADV Films English dub tracks for all 3 parts (spanning 4 episodes), an English subtitled Japanese commentary track with illustrator Gaku Miyao and producer Hiroki Sato, line art galleries, liner notes by noted author Giles Poitras, and more.

Originally debuting in 1985, Megazone 23 featured animation production from studios Artland and Tatsunoko Production for the first film and its 1986 sequel. A 2-part OVA spinoff was released in 1989, taking place centuries later. Artmic and AIC handled the animation production for the spinoff OVA.
AnimEigo describes the synopsis of Megazone 23 as:
The year is 1985 – at least, Shogo Yahagi thought it was. A few days ago, the young biker was out living it up on the streets of Tokyo – listening to the latest Eve tape, running around with his friends, and trying to flirt with the girl he almost ran over! But everything changed when a deadly encounter with a mysterious motorcycle sent him speeding into danger. With a shadowy cabal now hot on his heels, Shogo quickly realizes that he’s stepped into the deep end of a conspiracy that’s about to tear his reality asunder.
The Megazone 23 Blu-ray home video release is available to pre-order on MediaOCD’s online shop. An exclusive limited cardboard slipcover will be included with orders purchased on the website, while supplies last.
