#Andrew Cuomo’s latest audacious hypocrisy

Gov. Andrew Cuomo not only talks like he single-handedly defended New York from complete devastation by the coronavirus, he also apparently thinks he’s immune from it. Why else would he brag about his success in pushing masks to help curb the virus, while sitting . . . maskless?

At a Monday press conference, the gov and five top aides all sat unmasked in a room small enough that the number of reporters had to be limited.

Cuomo talked of his success against the virus while also warning that New York’s hospitals may soon be overwhelmed.

Responding to backlash over his masklessness, the gov noted that everyone was spaced six feet apart. Yet it’s now well known that the virus can spread beyond six feet in small, crowded rooms.

He even explained how poor air ventilation and failure to heed CDC guidelines at “spreader” gatherings have caused almost two-thirds of new cases — while skipping his mask in that exact environment.

Such is the . . . audacity New Yorkers must expect from the guy who wrote a book praising his pandemic measures while presiding over one of the most virus-ridden states.

No statistic or scientific data can convince this governor he’s done a thing wrong. Don’t be shocked if he lands another “yay me” book before this second wave hits its peak.
