#Dawn Breaks in Final Episode of Aimer’s Night World Anime Miniseries

from Night World part 3

That starless night has come — Yoru is making one last visit to his charges in the final episode of Aimer‘s anime miniseries Night World.

The short series (“Yoru no Kuni” in Japanese) is a collaboration between the singer/songwriter and Ryo-timo, whose credits include direction and character design for Birdy the Mighty: Decode and Yozakura Quartet. It stars Junichi Suwabe (Shota Aizawa in My Hero Academia) as Yoru, a bird-like guardian who guides troubled people through the surreal midnight landscape of Night World. He promises each of his charges that he will see them again “on a starless night”… and for the star of this episode, that night has come.

M.A.O (Shion in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) plays Aki, an artist who gave up on her dreams to pursue a mundane job hunt. As she endures yet another rejection, she finds a box of letters written by her to someone she can’t remember.

Night World was produced at Studio Daisy as a companion piece to Aimer’s sixth studio album, Walpurgis. The theme for the final episode is “Hoshi no Kieta Yoru ni ~rit. ver.~,” a new recording of the B-side of 2013’s “RE:I AM” (heard in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn RE:0096). The new track will be released as part of the upcoming Aimer B-SIDE COLLECTION ALBUM, which comes out January 26, 2022.
