Alex G is back with new music and details of his 10th studio album. Headlights will be released on July 18 and features the single “Afterlife.” A video for the new song can be seen below.

The “Afterlife” video was directed by Charlotte Rutherford, who recently worked on PinkPantheress’ Bridgerton-style “Tonight” video. In the clip, a small child with a buzz cut lip syncs the words alongside footage shot at a line dancing before being pulled through the local area via a mic chord.

Headlights is Alex G’ follow-up to 2022’s God Save the Animals and marks his first release on RCA, the major label he signed to last year.

This September Alex G will head out on a North American tour alongside Nilüfer Yanya. He is also due to perform at Newport Folk Festival and Outbreak Festival in the U.K. this summer. Find his upcoming schedule below.
