#Akademiks Declares Victory Over Meek Mill In Social Media Spat

Akademiks has been blocked by Meek Mill on Twitter, which the controversial podcaster deems a “victory” over the Philly native.

On Wednesday (March 20), the Dreams & Nightmares rapper announced that he was blocking his adversary on social media as he posted a screenshot to prove he was actually going through with it.

“Okay it’s over yall I wanted to see how many days I could make a bad geek lose sleep lol I blocked him,” he wrote.

Ak caught wind of the move and posted a screenshot of his own, demonstrating that Meek Mill did indeed stick to his word.

“No Way Meek Mill blocked Me…… I out tweeted Mr Twitter Fingers himself,” he remarked.

The above move concludes (at least for now) a back-and-forth between the two that grew increasingly contentious over the past few weeks after Meek was named in Diddy’s latest sexual assault lawsuit.

Earlier this month, the beef even promised to turn lucrative after Damon Feldman (the author of the book 16 Minute Man and the CEO of Official Celebrity Boxing) told TMZ that he’d made all the necessary provisions for the pair to sort out their issues in the ring, including booking a venue for and providing a $1 million prize for the winner.

Whereas neither of them moved forward with the generous offer, Akademiks upped the ante by offering Meek $1 million for the rights to his podcast after the latter announced his plans of entering the media space.

Taking to Twitter in mid-March, the “Times Like This” MC revealed that he has a lot to say, and that a podcast would be best suited to the content he plans on sharing with the world.

“I want a podcast deal I have a a lot to say on many different levels!” he wrote. “If you have a podcast business moving slow I can reverse that! From – meek mill – I’ve always been my own media and I wanna join the culture of black media!

“I wanna partner with somebody already good in the business not just dive in! 2 episodes a month! Yeah just a podcast deal my boy…. I just wanna get in media now and rap to tell reforms stories about the system let others share their stories and address all propraganda [sic]… uplift the black culture … stop beefs publicly.

He added: “it’s gonna be called ‘culture currency’ Teach the level of business knowledge I know from the streets to being around extreme wealth! Like how you had the show on Spotify but fueling street beefs I want that type of opportunity!”

These posts prompted Akademiks to make the 36-year-old an offer.

“I’ll offer you a Million dollars up front for you for 52 episodes,” he responded in a quote-tweet. “1 a week. We own video and audio, with a option to renew for a second year. Also we buss down ads 50% on any ads we bring in (Prizepicks, Fashionova etc). You can own the podcast, but we share the IP as long as u in the deal.”

Meek Mill subsequently laughed off the proposal, claiming that he and his friends have more money than anyone Akademiks does business with while clarifying that finances are not an issue for him.
