#After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway to stream on Muse Asia

Muse Asia has announced the addition of Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway to their slate of Spring 2021 anime. The first episode will air on April 5, 2021, while subsequent episodes will be available every Monday at 10.30pm GMT+8. The anime will be available in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia, and Bhutan.

The staff includes Manabu Kamikita as director at the Project No.9 produced anime, Akao Deko a.k.a Hitomi Memo (Noragami) as series composer, Takayuki Noguchi (Cinderella Nine) as character designer, Lin Ge (Idolish 7) as art director, Tomoya Kamijou (Monster Hunter Stories: Ride On) as director of photography, Jin Aketagawa (If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die) as sound director, and Tomoki Kikuya (Nisekoi) as music composer. 

Meanwhile, the cast will feature Kazuyuki Okitsu as male protagonist Yoshida and Kana Ichinose as female protagonist Sayu Ogiwara. Other members of the cast include Hisako Kanemoto as Airi Goto, Kaori Ishihara as Yuzuka Mishima, Yuusuke Kobayashi as Hashimoto, and Natsumi Kawaida as Asami Yuuki.

Muse Asia describes the anime as: 

Yoshida, a 26-year-old salaryman, is on his way home from a night of drinking after being dumped by his unrequited love. He bumps into Sayu, a high school girl, who is sitting by herself on the side of the road. Drunk as a skunk, Yoshida unconsciously puts Sayu, who has no place to stay, up for a night. The next morning, he wakes up to a delicious smell of miso soup.

“Good morning””

“Who the hell are you?! Why is there a high school girl in my room?”

“I asked you to let me stay in your room and you agreed. You said, ‘Miso soup. Make me miso soup every day and I’ll let you stay’.”

“What?! There’s no way I said that!”

Sayu has run away from home and has nowhere to go, so he can’t bring himself to kick her out. Yoshida allows her to live with him on the condition that she does some housework. The delicate dynamics between the runaway high school girl and the salaryman are both frustrating and warm. Their mysterious life together has begun.

The anime previously received a trailer and previewed the opening theme song.
