#ABLAZE Licenses HAPPYLAND Horror Manga for Summer 2024 English Release
ABLAZE has announced that it has licensed Shingo Honda’s horror manga series HAPPYLAND for release sometime this Summer 2024. The first volume will be released on September 11, 2024.
The manga will be published in print and digital format under ABLAZE’s manga imprint. The print release will be distributed worldwide by Diamond Comic and Diamond Book Distributors, while the digital version of the manga will be available on most major digital platforms.
The horror mystery manga ran in Nihon Bungeisha’s Manga Goraku Special from August 15, 2019 to March 15, 2021. A total of two tankobon volumes were released.
Honda has previously worked on a variety of series such as Saiko Kuro, Kiriko, Kiriko Kill, Crows Respect, Hakaijuu Vs. Mahou Shoujo of the End Vs. Earth, and Creature!.
ABLAZE describes the synopsis of HAPPYLAND as:
Welcome to Happyland, an extreme amusement park! The Komiya family is not unusual is any way, two parents love each other and their two children, who are healthy, happy, and accomplished at school and with extracurriculars. In appearance, they’re an ideal family that has everything going for them!
At least… That’s what they believed until the father decided to take them to spend a day at Happyland Park. In this park with its extreme attractions, the most shameful secrets will emerge in the most literally explosive way possible! A horrifying and gory tale of survival begins in this first of two volumes by Shingo Honda!
