Chief anchor George Stephanopoulos will preside over the one-hour event that will take questions from people in the live audience and virtually on Sept. 15 in Philadelphia — seven weeks before Election Day.
A statement by ABC News noted that the town hall will be held in “accordance with state and local government regulations, as well as guidelines set forward by health officials.”
ABC said it has also offered to host a town hall with Joe Biden and his running mate Sen. Kamala Harris.
The Trump town hall will be televised by ABC News and streamed on ABC News Live.
