#A Couple of Cuckoos’s 3rd Trailer Features Konomi Kohara’s Younger Sister Character

The upcoming A Couple of Cuckoos anime has received a third trailer. The new PV features Konomi Kohara‘s Sachi Umino, who is both the non-blood related younger sister of protagonist Nagi Umino and the real younger sister of main heroine Erika Amano. 

A Couple of Cuckoos is based on the ongoing manga by Miki Yoshikawa, which began in 2020 and has nine tankoubon volumes as of November 2021. The anime is set to release in 2022.

Kodansha describes the manga as:

16-year-old super-studier Nagi Umino, second-year student at the Meguro River Academy high school, was switched at birth. On his way to a dinner to meet his birth parents, he accidentally meets the brash, outspoken, Erika Amano, who is determined to make Nagi her fake boyfriend as she never wants to actually marry. But once Nagi makes it to dinner, he finds his parents have decided to resolve the hospital switch by conveniently having him marry the daughter his birth parents raised…who turns out to be none other than Erika herself!

The staff includes Akagi Hiroaki (Teasing Master Takagi-san Season 1 and 2 director) as chief director, Shirahata Yoshiyuki (Osamake: Romcom Where The Childhood Friend Won’t Lose storyboarder and episode director) as director, Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) as series composer, and Aya Takano (Teasing Master Takagi-san Season 1 and 2) as character designer. Shin-Ei Animation and SynergySP are the animation production companies.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Kaito Ishikawa as Nagi Umino, Akari Kitou as Erika Amano, and Nao Touyama as Hiro Segawa.
