#Da-iCE Releases Lyric Video for Winter 2022 TV Anime ORIENT OP Theme “Break out”

The official YouTube channel for the five-member Japanese male vocal and dance group Da-iCE has released a four-minute lyric video for their new song “Break out,” which will be used as the OP theme for the winter 2022 TV anime ORIENT.

The lyrics of the fast-paced song that reflects the world view of the anime were written by one of the group’s members, Sota Hanamura. He also co-composed the song with Tomoki Fukuda (Natural Lag). “We expressed the high aspirations and the strength of the heart in a piercing high note,” he says. “To a world where justice is determined by majority rule, I put my thoughts into the lyrics that even a minority opinion can be right, and that these feelings can change the world. By adding Japanese elements to it, I think we were able to make it into a Japanese rock song that only Da-iCE can make.”  

“Break out” wads digitally released on Janusry 5, 2022, and will be also included in the group’s forthcoming concept album “REVERSi” to be released on February 16.

The TV anime adaptation of Shinobu Ohtaka (Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic)’s battle fantasy manga series ORIENT is set to premiere in Japan on January 5, 2022, and will also be simulcast on Crunchyroll to its members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.

Synopsis:

Based on the manga by Shinobu Ohtaka being published in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. This is a story about Musashi, a 15-year-old boy who lives in Japan during the Sengoku period. Japan is ruled by demons, and Musashi tries to confront the demons with a certain special power!
