There may be a global pandemic, but A-list couple Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are “Happy Anywhere.”

At least that’s the name of the power couple’s latest uplifting country tune dropped Friday, July 24.

The nearly 3-minute song kicks off with a banjo riff followed by Shelton’s buttery crooning, “I’ve always been a rolling stone with a reckless streak. Yet the grass never gets too grown underneath my feet.”

Shelton, 44, continues to say that no matter where he is in life, or on Earth, he’ll always be happy and at home with his partner of five years, Stefani, 50, by his side.

Stefani — formerly of No Doubt — then joins him singing, “I’m running wide open. I was born with my feet in motion. But since I met you, I swear, I could be happy anywhere.”

They repeat the sweet message with the lyrics: “Any map dot location, you’re always my destination. You’re the only thing that I’m chained to. I could be happy anywhere, I could be happy anywhere with you.”

The 44-year-old country vocalist explained that the coronavirus contributed, in part, to why he wanted to release the romantic number, written by Ross Copperman, Josh Osborne and Matt Jenkins. The couple also performed it together on the “Today” show.

“Even though Gwen and I just had a single out, we decided that, under the circumstances this year… man, there’s never been a better time for ‘Happy Anywhere,’ ” Shelton said in a press release, referring to their 2019 hit “Nobody But You” from his “Fully Loaded: God’s Country” album.

“We’ve all been in quarantine and lockdown, and hopefully we’ve been doing that with somebody that we really love and enjoy being around. That’s what happened with Gwen and me this summer — and this entire year.”

Shelton also debuted a sneak peak of the track’s forthcoming music video on Instagram Thursday in a clip that shows Stefani flipping her hair with a big smile as she squeezes Shelton in for a hug. The tune’s signature banjo riff plays in the background.

During a livestream to promote the track Thursday, Warner Music Nashville’s Shane Tarleton shared that it was Stefani’s brother, Todd Stefani, who shot the video while quarantined with the duo at Shelton’s ranch in Oklahoma, Entertainment Tonight reported. Often shot in 105-degree heat, the video will also include archival footage ripped from Stefani’s phone, which she said will paint “the totality” of their relationship.

“I have the easiest job at this point in my life, and it’s a blast to be a country singer and do what I do,” Shelton said during the stream. “It’s hilarious that listening to the radio the last couple of years that Gwen Stefani is going to be singing the ‘countriest’ song to come out of Nashville… It’s ironic. It’s funny.”

“Happy Anywhere” comes just ahead of the couple’s one-night-only concert with Trace Adkins which will be shown exclusively at drive-in theaters across the US on Saturday, July 25.
