#8 Characters We Want to See in the Star Wars Disney+ Series

“8 Characters We Want to See in the Star Wars Disney+ Series”

Star Wars has been a long-running sci-fi multimedia franchise with a variety of films, TV shows, and video games, and literature since 1977. Thanks to Lucasfilm, the plethora of content in the Star Wars franchise has led to a number of unique storylines and equally unique characters. From the odd-looking mysterious characters like Yoda to the ultimately powerful Kylo Ren, Star Wars is jam-packed with characters to fall in love with and hate.

One character who has become a fan favorite of many is Ahsoka Tano, Anakin’s first Padawan in The Clone Wars who developed into a fierce warrior. Ahsoka appeared in Clone Warsand Rebels and most recently made her live-action debut in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. When she finally appeared in The Mandalorian, fans were quick to demand a solo series for the beloved character. It’s a demand that will soon be fulfilled as Lucasfilm, per Slash Film, first announced the upcoming Ahsokaseries in December 2020. Now that the series has officially begun production, fans are clamoring for details about the show, specifically which characters will pop up. Considering Ahsoka’s past, there are plenty of characters that could (and should) appear in the series. Here are eight characters we want to see in the upcoming Disney+ series Ahsoka.

8 Anakin Skywalker

Considering that Anakin Skywalker was Ahsoka’s Master when she was a Padawan learner, it only makes sense that he would make an appearance in the Disney+ solo series. Unfortunately, because the series is set to take place at the same time as The Mandalorian, Anakin AKA Darth Vader is dead. That said, this does not mean that Anakin couldn’t make an appearance as a Force ghost to Ahsoka when she is suffering from some kind of grand dilemma. The last time Ahsoka and Anakin saw one another was a fight in which the audience was led to believe Ahsoka was killed by Darth Vader, so it would be nice to see their old relationship rekindled.

7 Ezra Bridger

Ezra Bridger is a Jedi who was an important leader in the early rebellion. Since Ezra’s disappearance into hyperspace by the purrgil alongside Grand Admiral Thrawn, he has not been seen or heard of again. With the help of Sabine, Ahsoka has set off on a mission, vowing to find Ezra and bring him home, as seen as the end of Star Wars Rebels. No mention of Ezra has even arisen since Rebels so finally seeing him in Ahsoka would be satisfying for many fans as a long-standing search would finally reach its conclusion. Ezra’s presence in the series is pretty much a given, but has yet to be confirmed. Indeed, Ahsoka star Mena Massoud’s role has yet to be confirmed, which has led many, per Dork Side of the Force, to believe that he will in fact play Ezra.

6 Obi-Wan Kenobi

Another mentor that Ahsoka has known since she was just a Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi is a fan favorite. This may seem like a bit of a stretch considering that Obi-Wan, like Anakin, has been dead since A New Hope and Ahsoka is set to take place long after the events of the film. Of course, it is possible for Obi-Wan to appear as a Force Ghost to Ahsoka should the need arise. This may seem like a long-shot considering that Ahsoka and Obi-Wan parted ways long before his death, but it would be nice to get a glimpse of Obi-Wan from Ahsoka’s perspective.

5 Hera Syndulla

Hera Syndulla was a central character in Rebels who made a great impact on the Alliance, becoming one of the great leaders. Hera’s leadership even inspired her crew, the Spectres, to rescue her unassisted after she was captured by the Imperial Army. She was present during a number of pivotal moments during the reign of the Empire, including the battles of Scarif, Hoth, and Endor. If Sabine and Ezra make an appearance in Ahsoka, it would only make sense for Hera to make her live-action debut and be a part of the cast. Fans are hoping that the Spectres will reunite and that is definitely a possibility in Ahsoka.

4 Din Djarin

The main character in The Mandalorian, Ahsoka crosses paths with Din Djarin when he hopes to reunite Grogu with those of his own kind. While Ahsoka tells Din how to get the attention of Luke Skywalker in order for him to find Grogu, Din and Ahsoka cross paths once more when he returns to visit the child in The Book of Boba Fett. Ahsoka has her own story to tell and fans have been stomping their feet, demanding that we see what she’s been up to. While it’s possible that Din Djarin may not make an appearance in Ahsoka, it would be nice to see him help her the way that she helped him.

3 Luke Skywalker

Since Luke’s bad-ass entrance in the season two finale of The Mandalorian, many fans have been wanting to see more of Luke between the fall of the Empire and the rise of the First Order. His skills have seemingly tripled since the death of the Emperor, proving himself to be a formidable Jedi. While it was previously unclear whether Ahsoka ever knew about Anakin and Padmé’s secret relationship, she must know now considering that she has a decent relationship with their son. While Luke’s appearance in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett had fans jumping with joy, it’s unclear whether Luke will reappear in Ahsoka considering that the two may go their separate ways.

2 Bo-Katan Kryze

Ahsoka teamed up with Bo-Katan on Mandalore to fight off Darth Maul during the Siege of Mandalore in The Clone Wars. Since this, it’s been made clear that the two have remained somewhat close as it is Bo-Katan who tells Din Djarin where he can find Ahsoka in The Mandalorian. Since the rise of the Empire, Ahsoka has been in hiding, so it’s evident that her location would only be known by someone she trusts completely to not give her location to someone unsavory and risk her life. If this closeness between Bo-Katan and Ahsoka is as it appears to be, it would only make sense for Bo-Katan to make an appearance in Ahsoka.

1 Sabine Wren

Sabine Wren is a Mandalorian that Ahsoka sought for help in Rebels in finding Ezra Bridger. While the animated series left the fate of their mission unknown, the hope with Ahsoka is that the major focus of the series will revolve around their mission to find Ezra. Considering that the pair goes on a galaxy-wide search for their friend, it’s obvious that Sabine and Ahsoka will end up spending a great deal of time together on their search. Sabine is actually one character that has been confirmed to appear in Ahsoka; she will be played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo.
