Lande Hekt: Going to Hell [Get Better]

Going to Hell is the debut solo album from Bristol-based songwriter Lande Hekt (who also fronts the indie band Muncie Girls). Going to Hell concerns Hekt’s experience of coming out as gay. “I’m no stranger to queer punk and queer politics,” she said in a press release. “I’ve always taken a special interest for obvious reasons, but this record is important to me because it’s the first time I’m releasing anything as an outwardly gay person.”

Asphyx are back with their 10th studio album. The 10-track Necroceros is the Dutch death-doom metal band’s first record since 2016’s Incoming Death. Check out Asphyx’s music videos for “The Nameless Elite,” “Knights Templar Stand,” and “Botox Implosion,” which the band had hoped to film on Sunset Boulevard, where, according to frontman Martin van Drunen, “most of the pathetic subjects of this song have their residence.” Due to the pandemic, however, the “Botox Implosion” visual was shot in Essen, Germany.
