“50 Cent Joins Hollywood Elite On Board Of TV & Movie Charity: 'This Is Amazing'”
“I’m so honored to be part of the leadership of this extraordinary organization,” he said of joining the charity fund. “Being able to give back to this industry is something we should all strive for, and I can’t wait for all the exciting changes we have in store.”
The Motion Picture & Television Fund has been around for about a century and provides financial assistance through social programs to those working and retired from the entertainment industry.
“We’re more than thrilled to have these four incredible leaders in their fields join our board of governors,” said MPTF president Bob Beitcher. “Our future is truly looking bright as we move ahead to a new era of taking care of our own.”
Even though 50 Cent has enjoyed major television success behind the unstoppable Power universe and breakthrough shows like BMF, he still doesn’t feel as if STARZ is giving him the proper respect.
He’s been publicly airing out the network’s CEO Jeff Hirsch throughout April and doesn’t understand why he won’t have any programming on STARZ for the next six months once Power Book IV: Force wraps up later this month.
“Hey [guys] is there anyway you can keep your subscription to STARZ for 6 months,” 50 wrote while mocking STARZ earlier in April. “We have nothing from 50. I made a mistake but we have some great old movies you can watch again. LOL.”
