#41st Berserk Manga Volume To Feature Special Edition With Illustration And Drama CD

The official Japanese Twitter account for the Berserk franchise has announced that the 41st volume of the manga authored by Kentaro Miura will be released in Japan on Christmas Eve, December 24th in two editions. The regular edition will be released alongside a newly announced special edition that will include both a drama CD and a B5 sized canvas illustration, embedded below.

The manga’s 364th chapter will be published in the 18th Young Animal issue for this year on September 10th, bundled with a commemorative poster and tribute booklet, which will include tributes from fellow colleagues across the industry, following Miura’s passing in early May of this year from an acute aortic dissection at 54 years old. Young Animal’s editorial staff has yet to make a formal decision on the status of Berserk as an ongoing serialization.

The previosly announced Great Berserk Exhibition, which was originally meant to showcase the 30 years of the franchise has since been reworked as a simultaneous tribute to Miura with the subtitle Kentaro Miura: 32 Years of Artistry. 32 years of his draft work and original pieces will be arranged in chronological order alongside illustrations from Berserk and the exhibition will run from the 10th until the 23rd at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro.
