Atlanta, GA – 21 Savage loves giving back to his community as he holds various back-to-school drives and financial literacy campaigns for kids throughout the year. The Atlanta rapper is keeping his charitable muscle strong by teaming up with financial tech company Chime once again for his Bank Account Financial Literacy Campaign.

Through his Leading By Example foundation, 21 Savage and Chime are looking to teach students in grades 9-12 across the nation the importance of financial literacy. The campaign offers students a six-course online program that will also invite them to apply for one out of 100 scholarships valued at $1,000 each.

This is the second year 21 Savage and Chime are doing this after forming their partnership in October 2020.

“Growing up in Atlanta, the hustling energy just rub off on you,” 21 said in a promo video advertising the campaign’s second runaround. “Financial literacy is important because that’s one of the main things that you need to operate and be successful as an adult. I just wanted to come up with something that could kids have some understanding of what to do with that money.”

Earlier this month, Chime, Leading by Example and Project Backboard fixed a basketball court at Parkway-Wabash Park, one of the many projects that aim to turn poverty around in Atlanta. According to 21 Savage, he hopes children can use the new court and the game of basketball to help them escape the difficulties in life.

“Basketball created space for me in my childhood to compete, learn camaraderie, and simply escape the challenges of everyday life,” he said. “I am hoping this court will allow kids in Zone 6 to do the same. When I started my foundation, Leading by Example, I was determined to remove barriers for the next generation of Atlanta because my success is shared with my community who consistently support and inspire me.”
