#$1.2M worth of cocaine washes ashore on Alabama beach

Thirty-one bricks of cocaine — valued at $1.2 million — washed ashore on an Alabama beach late Monday night, reports said.

The drugs, roughly 66 pounds of them, were spotted by several beachgoers in Gulf Shores, who alerted police to their finds, WALA reported.

According to a report, the police weren't sure how the cocaine came ashore.
The bricks of coke were valued at $1.2 million.

Police confiscated the cocaine and handed the haul over to US Customs, WPMI reported.

Since the discoveries, police have ramped up patrol on the beaches, the outlet reported.
