#You’re Next Reveals Trailer, Visual, August 2 Release

A teaser visual and trailer have been released for the upcoming fourth My Hero Academia anime movie, which has been revealed to have the title of My Hero Academia The Movie: You’re Next and a Japanese premiere date of August 2. The movie’s original story will a mysterious figure who seems to resemble All Might.

Tensai Okamura (Wolf’s Rain, Blue Exorcist, Kuromukuro) is the director for My Hero Academia The Movie: You’re Next. Kenji Nagasaki, the director of the previous movies (and currently chief director on the TV series after directing the first three seasons), is credited as animation advisor.

The other revealed staff for the Bones production are familiar My Hero Academia names like Yousuke Kuroda as scriptwriter, Yoshihiko Umakoshi as character designer, and Yuki Hayashi as music composer.

The Shueisha-published My Hero Academia manga by Kouhei Horikoshi began serialization in 2014 and has 39 tankoubon volumes as of November 2023. The TV series first premiered in 2016, and its seventh season will begin on May 4 this year.

Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny…
