The trend for rapping over Drake beats continues. Whether it was the multiple “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” riffs or Freddie Gibbs flexing over Certified Lover Boy-opener “Champagne Poetry,” there has been no short supply of turning to Drake for inspiration in 2021. Now J. Cole is getting in on the act with his song “Heaven’s EP.” The track features Cole rapping over CLB song “Pipe Down” and comes with a video in which the Dreamville artist showcases his millionaire lifestyle; private jets and flashy hotel rooms aplenty.
Earlier this year J. Cole released new studio album The Off-Season. The album features 21 Savage and Morray collaboration “My Life.”
