An internet-born new generation singer yama has posted a three-minute music video for "Mahi" (Paralysis), his first CD single song from Sony Music Records' MASTERSIX FOUNDATION label, on his official YouTube channel. The song is now used as the OP theme for the winter 2021 TV anime 2.43: Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Team.

The 24-year-old singer started his singing activities in 2018. His first original solo song "Haru wo Tsugeru" (Spring is in The Air) was released in April 2020 and has been streamed over 100 million times so far. The music video for the song has been also viewed over 54 million times.

The music video for "Mahi" is produced by maxilla, an up-and-coming video production team, based on the concept of "RUN (running)" with the theme of "the conflict of youth." In conjunction with the release of the music video, the digital release of the song has also started. Its CD single is set to be released on February 10.
