On a special livestream for the World Dai Star multimedia project, Bandai Namco announced more details on the upcoming anime and mobile game through its Emotion media label.

The first two episodes of the World Dai Star anime will have an advance screening with the voice cast on February 26, 2023 at TOHO CINEMAS Ueno in Tokyo, Japan. The anime will premiere sometime in Spring 2023. More information about the anime will be announced at AnimeJapan’s BLUE stage on March 26, 2023 at 10:20 AM JST. Various voice cast members from the anime will also be present. 

A manga adaptation by Nanafuji will launch on Kadokawa’s Comic Alive+ manga website on April 2, 2023. A key visual for the manga has also been released. 

Yuu Kinome (Idoly Pride) is directing the World Dai Star anime with Yasuhiro Nakanishi (A Couple of Cuckoos) as series screenwriter and Maziro (Macross Delta) as character designer. Mika Pikazo, who designed VTubers Kaguya Luna and Hakos Baelz, is credited with the original character designs. Takahiro is credited with the original story. Lerche is in charge of the animation production.

Meanwhile, a mobile game titled World Dai Star: Dream Stellarium (known in Japan as World Dai Star: Yume no Stellarium) will launch in Summer 2023. Three new voice cast members have been added to the game, including Mariko Toribe as Koyomi Senju (Gingaza Troupe), Miho Okasaki as Iroha Senju (Gekidan Denki Troupe), and Kana Aoi as Hatsumi Renjakuno (Eden Troupe).

World Dai Star is set in a world where Dai Star stage theater performers have exploded in worldwide popularity. The story follows 16-year-old Kokona who aims to become a World Dai Star by auditioning for the Sirius theatrical troupe.
