Frank Cavalluzzi, 54, was slapped with six counts of reckless endangerment in the first degree, seven counts of menacing with a weapon in the second degree and seven counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree for Tuesday’s incident in Whitestone, police said.
He was arrested at 9:05 a.m. Thursday after turning himself in to the 109th Precinct in Flushing with his lawyer, police said.
Cavalluzzi, whom police sources called a known troublemaker in the area, was filmed brandishing knives affixed to his hand and threatening Black Lives Matter demonstrators on Tuesday before getting into his car, driving onto the sidewalk and attempting to mow them down, sending them running for their lives.
Protesters had been in the area hanging up BLM signs and rallying after an admitted racist, Anthony Abicca, ripped down a single sign at the location earlier this week and recorded himself using racial and homophobic slurs.
Cavalluzzi has at least eight prior arrests before he was cuffed Thursday and has been accused of attacking a police officer, punching his female landlord and engaging in multiple, violent road-rage disputes, cops said.
