#Who got divorced on the ‘Married at First Sight’ finale?

#Who got divorced on the ‘Married at First Sight’ finale?

Is eight weeks long enough to know if you’ve met your soulmate?

The five Atlanta couples featured on Season 12 of “Married at First Sight” put that timeline to the test.

After being matched by relationship experts and getting legally married as strangers, the 10 singles spent two months living with their new spouse.

Tonight, the Lifetime reality stars faced Decision Day, where they had to decide if they will stay married, or get a divorce.

Next week and the week after, the network will air two reunion episodes, where the spouses and exes will get together and reveal who is still together.

Here’s how everyone fared on the finale.

“Married at First Sight” airs at 8 p.m. EDT on Lifetime.

Vulnerable Clara was matched with closed-off Ryan. She learned to practice patience: Ryan had never told her that he loved her and would not have sex before their wedding. If they’re going to be married “for the next 50 years,” Clara didn’t mind waiting a few more months, she told the experts on Decision Day. She felt like her and Ryan were “meant to be” and couldn’t imagine her life without him in it. She wanted to stay married. Despite a tension-filled build-up, Ryan felt the same.

Hayley and Jacob

This couple struggled to connect. Neither Haley nor Jake could find common ground with each other and spent two months mostly fighting or making small talk. When sitting down with the experts, Hayley felt like Jake didn’t put in the effort, or the right effort, to make their relationship work. He felt like she dwelled on negativity. “We had eight weeks to try, and I don’t know if we ever really did,” Jake said. Hayley agreed. They both chose to get a divorce.

Chris and Paige

These two broke up after only four weeks together. Days into the marriage, Chris learned that he had gotten his ex-girlfriend pregnant. Though Paige was committed to sticking by his side, Chris wanted to be with his baby mama. Soon after, he came crawling back to Paige. But he didn’t treat her right, and they made the call to end it.

On Decision Day, they reunited to discuss their relationship. “I didn’t feel valued or respected,” Paige said. Chris, who had refused to take accountability for anything in the marriage, apologized to her for the first time. “You were what I needed,” he said. Then, he dropped a bomb: His ex had miscarried. He started to cry. “It was selfish, you didn’t deserve any of this,” Chris told Paige through tears as she consoled him.

Chris wanted to get back together. Paige was undecided. Dr. Viviana said otherwise: “I’m not OK with this. I feel like you’re doing this to play with her and now to play with us,” she told him. Paige broke down in tears. “I can’t do this anymore, it’s too much for me,” she said, running away.

After sitting down with producers, she made her choice: “I don’t think things will change, it’s been a lot of hurt. I don’t think I can stay in this,” she said. Paige asked for a divorce.

Erik and Virginia worked as a couple, until they were forced to discuss any problems in their relationship. Though they fell deeply in love, their expectations of the marriage didn’t match up. Virginia wanted freedom and space, while Erik needed to be the No. 1 person in her life, not her many friends. Because he had been married before, he often lectured her on what they “should” act like, while she struggled to be vulnerable with him.

When it came to the big choice, Erik wanted to stay married: The highs in their marriage outweighed the lows.

He got down on one knee and presented a ring, proposing that Virginia stay married to him. He even asked her father for permission this time around.

Smiling wide, Virginia said yes.

Strong-willed Briana and soft-lipped Vincent struggled to communicate. She is direct and forward, while he holds his emotions in and is sensitive. Still, Briana and Vincent fell in love and built one of the strongest marriages of the season. When it came down to it, they decided to stay together. Vincent even got down on one knee to propose to Briana — with a box of cheesecake, not a ring.
