#White Sox vs. Pirates prediction: Dallas Keuchel makes Under the play

The Chicago White Sox offense has gained tons of attention for leading the American League in home runs per game, but lost in the shuffle is a former Cy Young Award-winner who entered Tuesday eighth in the AL in ERA.

Dallas Keuchel has pitched at least five innings in 24 of his 25 starts since the beginning of the 2019 season and since joining the White Sox this season, has registered a 2.65 ERA with 0.5 home runs and 1.7 walks allowed per nine innings.

Backing him up is an offense averaging 1.9 home runs per game and leading the American League in batting average and ranking in the top 10 in MLB bullpen ERA.

On the other end, Trevor Williams ranked second among all qualifying starters in post-All-Star break ERA in 2018 and despite a 1-4 record, has given up three runs or fewer in all five of his starts this season and has surrendered three home runs in 24 ¹/₃ innings.

With Williams receiving three runs of support or fewer in four of his five starts, this figures to be a game that does not feature a lot of offense.

The play: Pirates vs. White Sox, Total Under 9 runs.
