Dallas Keuchel will go for the White Sox and has been highly consistent the past two seasons, going at least five innings in 23 of his 24 starts. In his last 14 starts, he has a 2.73 ERA to go with 2.7 walks and 0.76 home runs per nine innings.
The Cubs’ Jon Lester is coming off giving up five runs to the Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley after yielding just two runs in 17 innings across his first three starts of 2020. He’s giving up just 1.6 walks per nine innings and has a 2.74 ERA this season despite the slip up against Milwaukee.
Both starters are left-handers. The White Sox entered Thursday hitting .286 against lefties this season, while the Cubs come in at .217 in that category.
